I can't believe how long its been since I posted! Is there anyone left out there? ; -) In my neverending cleaning out of drawers, I came upon 2 of Laura Perin's Mini Mystery Monday free designs that I had not stitched. So here they are, not only stitched but finished! Of course, I changed all the colors, and some of the stitches. These can be ornaments or door hangers.
The one on the right was from Sep 2012. I changed it a lot
The one below Feb 2013. Both worked in Watercolors and #5 pearl cotton and Kreinik. Completely from stash.
I hung these at an angle so you could see the braid my finisher used around the edge. I've used this before and it makes the perfect easy edging for ornaments.

Christmas Littles
I have no excuses! I just keep forgetting to post. I have been stitching ornaments and they are almost finished. I did some of the "finishing" today and hope to have them all done in the next day or so to photograph the next time there is a sunny day!
These designs plus a few others will become a collection of designs called Christmas Littles that will be available after the first of the year. They are all little! Some as small as 1.5" square. The biggest is not quite 5"x7". Great stash busters.

O Christmas Tree
O Christmas Tree Ornament by Sharon Mann for Kreinik.
My next tiny needlepoint is a free design on Kreinik's website. I have had this printed out for years! On 18-count it ends up being about 2-1/8" square. Even too small for some of the little frames I have!
I did not use beads as instructed, used Kreinik instead. I just didn't want to put that much work into it! (Beads are "work" to me.) I also used floss instead of the Silk Mori. I think it turned out cute.

Very Very Merry
Very Very Merry is a free design from Susan Johnson at sj-designs. It was intended to be done in beads, but I just did it as a cross stitch on a small piece of perforated paper that I had in stash. Threads also from stash - floss & Kreinik.
A very quick stitch.
And it's even finished! This clear acrylic round was supposed to be a luggage tag, but I think it makes a fine ornament!
A very quick stitch.

Finished Ornaments
Well, I got four of these finished. The 5th proved to be too difficult for me and will have to be sent out to be finished and saved for next year!
The top 2 and the lower left are Laura Perin designs from her Mystery Monday Series. The lower right is Ro Pace's Starry Night.
The top two are prefinished banners, very easy to finish. Just stick in the needlework and then I use little strips of fuseable web to insure the edges of the fabric stay down. The bottom two are the same deal except they are little pillows. Bless the people who make these prefinished items!
MERRY CHRISTMAS, OR WHATEVER, TO ALL OF YOU!!

Byzantine Ornament
Finished another one! This one is adapted from a Teresa Wentzler cross stitch design in her Best of Teresa Wentzler Christmas Collection. It was harder to adapt than I expected due to using 18-count canvas instead of one of the fabrics. I had to do some careful counting & adjusting! But it turned out pretty I think. I used 3 #12 Kreinik braids, 002, 153V and 018HL plus Rainbow Tweed RT61 for the overdye. When I get this one and a couple others all mounted & ready to go, I'll post another photo.

More ORNAMENTS

I have completed 2 more ornaments. The green one has a dangle from the bottom & will make a nice Xmas ornament. The pastel one will be kitted with instructions for the Stitcher's Retreat here in Las Vegas in April. I think it turned out really pretty and Spring-like. The one I did earlier, with the eyelets, we decided was not as appealing.
