I have worked 2 different corners for Seasons. And I still can't decide! I like them both, but their effects are different. The darker one becomes more of a "background" for the center 5 squares. the lighter one blends more. I could also do both of them, opposite corners.
What do you think?
I prefer the colorway on the left side. I think it complements the 5 center squares. Perhaps you could use the right one on a different project. Mary Agnes
ReplyDeleteI definitely like the one on the left better. It matches the other 5 and will make it a design of 9 squares. The one on the right is too bold and will make the plus sign part design stand out too much.
ReplyDeleteI agree too - the one on the left would be best. The one on the right is just too dark and doesn't "fit" as well with the others. I love this project more each time you show it!
ReplyDeleteOooh this is a gorgeous piece. And count me with the others preferring the one on the left. I like the continuity that the turquoise in it gives to the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteTrue to form, I stand on the other side of the line. I like the one on the right. I like that it doesn't blend in and makes the central cross design stand out.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, by the way.
I like them both actually, but to keep it matching, I do believe the others are right. As to which one to keep, again the left does compliment, while the right makes a statement. So, do you want to be bold or meek???????? Only you can answer that one.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, beautiful stitching!!!!!!

I like the idea of using both... I guess it is my semetrical brain. Both the dark and light are great so why choose only one?
