I can't believe it! The Mystery Retreat Project is finished! I put the last stitch into the bottom section yesterday. What an accomplishment. Started at the Mystery Retreat July 2009. Once I made this my "Sunday project", progress was consistent. The bottom section took quite awhile to do as it has so many isolated stitches.
This is one of the most ambitious projects I have done in years. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself & doing a MAJOR Happy Dance!!!

Beautiful, Liz! BTW, what does the "Mystery" stand for?
Thanks Joanie & Carolyn.
To answer your question:
The Mystery was that before the retreat last summer, the only thing we knew about the project was the outlines (which we did as prework) and the color scheme (we had a choice of 4). Each section was designed & taught by a different teacher & we didn't know what it was till class started!
What a stunning piece! Congrats!
Holey Schmoley...stunning!
Enjoy the happy dancing and bask in the glow of such a fabulous finish!
Woo Hoo!
This is truly a complicated but beautiful piece. I love the muted tones you used to stitch it. And I know how happy you are to finally finish a large project. Sit back and relax - at least for a day.
It's just lovely, Liz! I can't wait to see how you frame it.
