White Noise

Here is my first finish for 2011.  White Noise is a new Bargello design that I have been working on since summer.  The pattern will be available on my website in a month or so (I still have to finish the charts & instructions).  There are three distinct pattern areas and the piece is worked all in shades of white, with some silver.  There are 10 different threads used.   It is not a difficult design, although there is a lot of compensation.

How pretty! I never get over how elegant white patterns mixed with metallics are. And with all those different threads, this won't be a boring stitch!

Congratulations on finishing the piece, Liz. Now on to the instructions!

This is a very interesting combination of delicacy in the color used and strength in the shapes of the design. A lovely piece!

This is a good one! I'm a great fan of the "colors of white" too, and love pulling out all kinds of white fibers. I'ts amazing how the shade can change with the same thread, but different stitch according to how the light strikes the surface. I will probably have to do this one, so hurry with instructions please.

When you started this one, I told you it would be one of favorites. And I was right! This one is beautiful. I wonder what it would look like in different pastel colors - maybe the very lightest of blues.
