Tuscan Midnight, Progress #4

I work on Tuscan Midnight every once in awhile.  Last night I finished one corner.  Now to do the other 3.  All the corners are the same, so it should go quicker now that I'm familiar with all the stitches.  When it is finished, according to the directions, I may go back in & fill in the corners to make it a square, and maybe add a border.  Any opinions out there?

beautiful work! Totally love the very outside row of squares with the zig-zag pattern :)

I love the colours. Can't wait to see more progress photos.

It feels a little incomplete. I love the colors and textures and don't know if it needs a border but not knowing the pattern I would be inclined to make it square.

Not sure - on the one hand, not having it square is different and I like different, but on the other it feels like it's missing something and that would probably bug me if I were stitching it. Then again it may feel totally different once it's finished.

This is looking very nice! I'd wait till you finish all of the corners, then see whether it "needs" to be square.

This is beautiful. Since the title mentions midnight - maybe a dark (navy maybe) blue background?

Such a riot of colors! As a rule, I don't like to add on to another designer's piece. I agree with Sarah Leigh - wait until it's done and see how you feel about the shape. The personality of this one changes to much when the corner is done. And I'm sure each color scheme looks quite different as well.
