It's been awhile since I posted & likely be be another while before it happens again.
First I was out of town for four days. Had a great time in Monterey CA, going to the wonderful aquarium there. We also managed a side trip to Madonna's, a terrific needlework store in Morgan Hill, CA/ Highly recommended!
Now I have come down with a nasty cold. Hopefully, it won't take forever to run its course, but I will see the doctor as soon as I can get in. With COPD there's no such thing as "just a cold".

Nature-Sea, Finished
Nature-Sea is finally completely finished. I remembered how to attach the shell! The first time I did this, about 30 years ago, the shell I had was much flatter. Flatter is easier to attach! But I finally got it done. It's a great weight off :-) !!
Next challenge was to see if it would work in one of Sudberry House's Crown Plates. I knew the size would be right because I designed it that way, but I wasn't at all sure I would be able to mount it properly to fit.
Because of the shell, I could not use the glass.
Problem: I couldn't get the glass out of the frame! Called DH in and we ended up taking it outside and breaking the glass. Just couldn't get it out. I don't know if all the Crown Plates are like that or if I just had a difficult one!
Anyway, here it is, all mounted in the Crown Plate frame. And it is already gone! This was a Christmas present for a dear friend and he happened to stop by yesterday. So off it went to it's new home. I did get pictures though!

UPDATE: Sudberry House says:
"Sorry you had trouble getting the
glass out. It should come right out, but a few of them have been rather snug
fitting."

Leaping Stag
You have not seen this piece before. Several years ago I was working on ANG's Master Needle Artist program and this is one of the pieces I developed during that program. I was unable to complete the program, but I do love this design!
The Leaping Stag was a common motif during the Art Deco period. His body is the only part of this design that has textured stitches and they are worked with Watercolours. The rest of the piece is in tent stitch with floss.
This piece has been tacked up on my office wall for several years and I just had it framed.
The pic of the framed piece didn't come out too well, color wise.

Scottsdale, framed
Scottsdale is back from the framer. We chose a simple frame and single mat.
I think it turned out quite nicely!
Now I really must get this charted up and instructions written!

Atlantis Rising, Framed
Atlantis Rising by Ro Pace is finally framed. I am very pleased with this piece! I had forgotten how gorgeous it is till I pulled it out of the closet to go to the framer. The mats & frame really set it off nicely I think.

THIS & THAT
I have nothing to show you, but wanted to check in anyway.
I've been working on Illusions, but haven't made enough visible progress for a post; perhaps by next week! I plan to stop at Michael's tomorrow and look at beads & jewels.
I've also started the prework for Walk the Wild River by Linda Reinmiller. This is the next Cyberpointer's workshop which starts in a couple of weeks. The prework is extensive, so I wanted to get a good start on it. I'm glad I did, it is kinda slow going. I know that I'll be glad to have it done though!
I'm also working on two "secret" projects that I won't be able to show you till next month.
I'll post again as soon as I have something to show.
