Diamond in a Square, my latest Mad Miters, is finished! Just last night I put in the last stitch. I am really happy with this piece! It was an experiment in combining Mad Miters with straight Bargello, using a unit pattern.
For those of you who have signed up for my Mad Miters class for Cyberpointers, you will NOT be doing this!
I would not recommend attempting something like this until you have quite a few Mad Miters under your belt! I developed the technique and have done many, many Mad Miters pieces. And I still had to resort to the computer to figure some of it out!

Looks complex for sure, but wonderful. I am betting quite a few bargello addicts will want to try this.
That is so cool! I'm signed up for Mad Miters, so I'll do a lot of practicing, and then maybe you'll offer a Mad Miters II class!
Oh WOW!! That is beautiful! I'll have to get practising my bargello too!
It's beautiful but I have to say it - no other word describes it better than trippy!
This is wonderful. It's just so Wow! I've been practicing my bargello whenever and wherever I find a one that looks interesting to do. I'm having a blast. I'm a very mathematical person, so it comes quite easily to me. I can't wait until your Diamond in a Square is ready for the "public". :)
Thank you so much.
I love it!
This is very interesting - like you took a bargello pattern and then twisted it up. I kind of like it! You're always pushing the envelope on bargello design. Great job!
