Twisted Metal Framed

Twisted Metal is framed.  I can't decide if I like it or not!  I love the frame & the main mat, but I can't decide about the gold under-mat.  What do you think?  Any opinions?  Should I send it to the ANG Seminar exhibit?

To answer your questions, I like the gold under mats very much and HECK YEAH send it to the ANG exhibit. It's not whether it wins ribbons or is "good enough," it is whether it inspires others with their stitching. Which it will. How many original designs are there? Not many. So go for it. Please!

I agree. I am a big fan of glitz and I think the mats are perfect. Yes, send it to ANG. It is beautiful.

I love the main mat! And I think the gold mats look good as well. It really sets everything off perfectly. And, yes, you should submit it to the ANG Seminar.

This is gorgeous. Personally, I think the golden mattes are too much - they detract my eye from the stitching. Perhaps black instead of the gold - that will go with everything, imho, and I worked two years at a framing studio. It will also recess the matting and bring forward the stitching. Please do enter it into the ANG exhibit. It's superb. Now when do we get to stitch these lovely new designs? LOL. Thanks for another lovely to drool over. :)

while pretty, i think the frame overwhelms the piece. when i look at something, whether it be a photograph or needlepoint, i want to see the piece of art, not notice the frame.
