IMPERIAL TOPAZ

I just read on Stitchlady's blog that she is getting ready to do Susan Reed's Imperial Topaz. I stitched this a year or so ago in my usual aqua/copper color scheme. Here is a pic of the finished piece. I loved doing it and really like the result. It is a fun piece to stitch.

That is beautiful! I love the design, but those colours are simply gorgeous. Now I know the next colour combination I want to try!

Hi Liz,

I've enjoyed catching up on all of your recent posts tonight. :-)

"Imperial Topaz" is beautiful and I enjoyed seeing your progress on "BOINK", "Solar Flare", and on the "Log Cabin Sampler".

As if Imperial Topaz isn't gorgeous enough, I have just reeled my jaw back off the floor after viewing your slide show of bargello; as in beautiful bargello, breathtaking bargello, beautimous, bold, bewitching, brillant, bright and beckoning bargello. All the B words. Impressive works! Thanks for the inspiring show.

Your colorway sure makes a difference in the look of Imperial Topaz. I am using Sue's original colorway..sort of I substituted Anchor floss for Splendor silk to keep the cost of the project down. I really enjoy seeing projects done in many colorways, they are each lovely in their own right.
