Keiko by Jim Wurth, Progress #2

I worked on Keiko one afternoon and evening and accomplished quite a bit. It has lots of fun stitches, but I fear it is awfully busy! Once the diamond is complete, there is a sort of lacy "background" around it and I'm already thinking of how to make that calm the thing down.

I love the colors also. It doesn't look busy to me but perhaps that is because it is not finished. Still, there seems to be a rhythm to the patterns that is pleasing.

It is awfully busy! I can't seem to "land" on a focal point, as there's no way to lead the eye around the pattern - maybe when it's finished. The colors are beautiful, though, and the stitches are interesting.

Wow! This is going very quickly. Maybe I should try it. I don't think it's too busy, and I do love your colors.
