Zellig Tile is Finished!

Wow, that didn't take long at all! Zellig Tile, designed by Jan Fitzpatrick, is finished! I decided to use a modified Waffle Stitch for the center which I think turned out quite well. I really like the subtlety of the Watercolours for the border & background. The background is Sandstone, which is my most favorite Watercolours for backgrounds. It has a hint of tan and gray with the off-white main color and I just love the way it works up. I do have to block this piece though before I can do anything with it. All that Mosaic stitch distorts. I had it on a frame, but not fastened down good enough. Bad on me!

This is a beautiful version of my design Liz! I love the colors and the little changes you made in the design as well. I encourage people to try making a few changes, in stitches or colors. It gives the piece a different personality and is now a definitive Liz piece. Nice job!!

I like the colors. The mosaic stitches add texture to the background, and I like that.

Really really pretty! It's amazing what color changes can make. I want to do this one, myself, and I'm not a "counted" person. Incidentally, I always work mosaic on the diagonal - not as "diagonal mosaic" but working diagonally. It makes less distortion, as horizontal is like continental stitch for warping.
