Just a quick hello!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to check in even though I have no pictures to show you. Oh, I know! I'll post pix of the kitties! I am now in serious packing mode & have lots of things to do around the house to get it set up for DH to live alone for awhile. Kitties get their nails done this week too so they will be easier to handle if they get freaky and also they won't tear up the car upholstery! They are good kitties & I'm sure they will be fine.

Here is KC, relaxing, and Sweet Pea is guarding the boxes.

KC is such a boy!! I love when they sit like this. If KC is a lady, Opps, my mistake.

Kitties Rock! I love the way Sweet Pea is ensuring that you are aware that all boxes and contents are hers. All the furniture too, and also the car for that matter. KC is so fluffy and purrrfectly immodest. Good luck with everything during the transition.

Yes, KC is a girl. But she acts more like a boy!

I'm contemplating a move from Michigan to Florida and am worried about how my Beanie and Cecil will get through the trip! Any suggestions? Beanie is slightly paranoid anyway. My vet said they'd get used to it. hmmmmmm.

Well, Sharon, we had 2 carriers on the back seat, one for each cat. Neither likes being in a carrier! We had a small litter box on the floor. We learned from a previous trip with Sweet Pea that they don't eat or drink, so I didn't put down food or water, but offered it whenever we stopped. Neither ate or drank or used the box. It was an 8 hour drive though, not nearly as far as yours. Both of ours are very sweet & relatively calm, so we let them out after half an hour or so. They spent most of their time in the carriers though. For a long trip like yours I might consider some sort of crate, depending on the type of vehicle.
