2-4-6 Bargello projects

I added the instructions for "2-4-6 Bargello" to my website a couple of weeks ago, and decided I should show you some finished projects.  The instructions include a sampler to practice the technique.

The pic with red is a small round to become an ornament.  The blue one is a 4-way and the pink one is a rectangular 4-way.  Once the technique is learned, there are tons of ways to use it!

2-4-6 Bargello

2-4-6 Bargello is the fourth in the series of instructions for Advanced Bargello Techniques and it is finally available on my website.

This technique teaches a way to create a unique, non-repetitive Bargello design without a pattern.  The picture shows the sampler project that is included.

2-4-6 can be used for just about any Bargello project, including 4-way, Rectangular 4-way, etc.  Even Mad Miters, if you're a little bit crazy!
The instructions include photos of different ways to use 2-4-6.

Remember, if you are using your phone to look at my website, you will need to scroll all the way down and click on "classic".

April already?!

How can it be April already?  I wasn't done with March!

I finally finished my secret project, but can't show it to you yet.

So I have begun stitching on other things again.  One is a small Bargello project I will offer on my website soon.  It is a Small Diamond and is suitable for a beginner.  It will work up nicely as an ornament or pin cushion.  It's only about 3" on a side.  You can't tell in the photo, but the red and the turquoise are FyreWerks and are very sparkly.

2-4-6 Bargello 4-Way

No, I am not sitting around eating bonbons and watching soaps.  I have been stitching, although perhaps not as much as usual.  Like everyone else, the holidays do get in my stitching way!  Also like everyone else, I do have at least one "secret" project that I can't show you till after Christmas lest the surprise leak out.
When we were in Reno the last time, I ran across a notebook of a technique I used to do, and teach, many years ago.  It is called 2-4-6 Bargello and is just a ton of fun!  I will be working on more new models for this and hope to have a class put together sometime in 2014.
This model is 2-4-6 worked as a small 4-way, it is just 5" square on 18-count, worked in Silk & Ivory with one row of Watercolours and a center of FyreWerks.  I think it is rather pretty and it will make a nice box top.
