Kangaroo, Progress #3

I have been working on the cross stitch Kangaroo once in awhile. You can't tell by the picture, but most of the green is rayon floss. I don't like working with the rayon floss, so I don't work on this very often! But I do keep plugging away at it. It has been quite a long time since I last posted about this (a year?) but I thought you might be interested to see that I occasionally do something besides Bargello LOL.

Rayon can be calmed slightly by damping very lightly and allowing to dry. It changes the appearance and characteristics slightly, but you might like to try it.

Thanks Rachel. The problem I have with the rayon floss is that my hands are very dry & rough, even though I use buckets of lotion. Rayon floss & certain silks, catch on the rough spots & also stick to my skin like a magnet! I have tried the sugar scrub & just about every lotion there is! I still find Udder Cream to be the best, but I have to reapply it so often it gets to be a pain!

This is a very nice kangaroo! I can see the difference in the grass, and I don't like working with rayon floss either. You have my sympathies with the dry, rough hands issue. My favorite lotion is Sew Help Me, which I carried in my brick-and-mortar store. (Perhaps I should put that on the Web store.) I found it had staying power, no scent, and no residue. You might want to try it.
